Xander Cuizon Tice

Designer based in London and Seattle.

My design practice explores the relationship between movement, making, and the environments we inhabit. Drawing from psychogeography, embodied design thinking, and my experiences as both a runner and designer, I investigate how movement through space can generate new forms of design inquiry. Rather than treating design as a process of solving predefined problems, I approach it as a method of exploration shaped by observation, reflection, and making.

Central to my practice is the belief that making is a form of thinking. Through drawing, model making, prototyping, and experimentation, I use making to uncover ideas that cannot always be reached through analysis alone. I view the body as an active participant in the design process, with movement, sensory experience, and physical interaction informing both the process and outcome of a project.

My work explores how everyday objects can extend beyond their functional purpose to create moments of curiosity, reflection, and engagement. Projects such as Pen Notes and Object Chair translate movement, rhythm, architecture, and spatial experience into physical form.

With a background in fashion, footwear, and textile design, I create movement-centered objects that encourage greater awareness of our relationships with the body, objects, and the built environment.
